Top 10 Red Wines Under $25

Red Wine

Top 10 Red Wines Under $25, Plus my favorite bottle to splurge on

A good glass of wine can be the perfect ending to any day. Whether it is relaxing with a good book or working on a project, a glass of wine seems to take the stress and chaos of the hard day’s work away. Finding a bottle for a good price can be tricky. That is why I comprised a list of Top 10 Red Wines Under $25.

Wine is also great for social gatherings! Gossiping and catching up on life with some of my best girlfriends around a bottle of Cabernet is one of my favorite things to do for some “mom time”. Traveling to a nearby winery is also a great day trip or even a girls weekend. Wine would also be perfect for a date night but I wouldn’t know. My husband is not a fan of wine (yes, I still love him). In fact he is, for lack of better words, wasteful when it comes to wine. He either finishes it within minutes or complains that he does not understand the hype. So I save the wine for me.

I typically like my wine bold and dry. Those dark, bold flavors seem to be the perfect glass to sip on or pair with a good meal. I am not a sommelier and will not pretend that I can break down every flavor and detail in a glass of wine. What I can do is provide you with the top 10 wines under $25.

My list is created based on wines with a great flavor, decent price, and that don’t cause that one glass headache.

Top 10 Red Wines under $25

  • The Dreaming Tree– Cabernet
    • For the price, dreaming tree has a decent taste. Average around $10
  • Robert Mondavi
    • Great taste but be careful. Wines can cost anywhere from $10 to $80 and up. I have not had a Robert Mondavi Cabernet I did not like.
  • Decoy– Cabernet
    • A little higher in price but definitely worth it. A bottle runs around $18-$20
  • Josh-Cabernet
    • A “go-to” for any occasion bottle.
  • 19 Crimes– Cabernet and Red Blend
    • Not just a great taste but also a fun label. Download the app and your bottle interacts with you explaining the details of the criminal on the label.
  • Educated Guess
    • Tasty and bold.
  • Apothic Inferno– Red Blend
    • I have tried several Apothic Inferno Red wines. All have been tasty.
  • Perimeter – Cabernet
    • For the price Perimeter is one of the best. Which is why this was the wine at my wedding. At $10/ bottle, you can’t beat the price for the taste.
  • Simi
    • One of the family favorites for gatherings. While it is definitely pricier, it is for sure in the top 2 of favorites.
  • Skeleton Key
    • My ALL time favorite wine for under $25 is Skeleton Key. This is a Texas based winery and I am not sure how easily available it is in other states. If you have the chance grab a bottle or three!

Looking to splurge? My favorite bottle of wine is typically saved for special occasions or celebrations. Why? Solely the price, and maybe I just don’t want to share with everyone. The flavor is amazing and it pairs with almost anything. In fact it is so good that my husband will even join in and have a glass. The best wine is…

Silver Oak Cabernet!

Silver Oak is a top red wine but with a hefty price. It is great for those special occasions.
