Mom’s Time

Books for Mom’s Time

One of the best activities for mom’s time is a good book. Nothing creates a quick escape like getting lost in another world. If you are like me the book has to capture your attention quick. If it does, then I completely loose myself. I play the images of the book in my head, like a reel of a movie that I have never seen and reality pauses for just a while. It is one of the best ways for me to relax and escape the chaos of work, home and responsibilities.

Tasty recipes not only amplify mom's time. They also allow mom's time to come a little quicker when there isn't a struggle to come up with dinner.

Recipes

I love exploring recipes and trying new creations with my family. While it is not necessarily “mom’s time”, having recipes and being prepared can definitely take stress off. It gives you more “me time”. It took years of following recipes to learn my way around a kitchen. I am not a chef nor do I claim to be some cooking guru. My family does not come from a long line of wonderful cooks and secret family recipes. However, I have established enough of a basis to find some great recipes and even create some family favorites of my own.

Drinks

When it comes to a good drink I am a fanatic. Although I love a good cocktail on the beach, lake or near a pool my go to drinks are wine and bourbon. Having a relaxing taste of bourbon with my husband at the end of the day or drinking wine with the girls are both means to relax at the end of a hard day.
